Great Podcasts for budding Entrepreneurs

I started listening to podcasts a lot last year. I hadn't listened to any prior to that. I would occasionally turn up the radio in my car, though. But then again, that was only when I couldn't play my own playlists for some reason. Then one fine day, thanks to Spotify, I discovered podcasts and I've never looked back since. They're extremely informative, useful, entertaining, and convenient. I have a long commute to and from home to university, which is when I use the help of some of my favourite podcasts to help pass my time while learning something new.

I always feel like I could use the 45-60 min drive(each way) doing a lot more productive things than driving; reading a book, an interesting article, watching a show, anything really. Thanks to some of these great podcasts down below, I've been able to gain the benefits of all the aforementioned things -- in an audio version obviously, but great, nonetheless:

Tim Ferris is an entrepreneur, author of best-selling books on productivity and business, angel investor, and podcaster. In this wildly successful podcast of his, he talks to successful people from all walks of life about their career, rules(or lack, thereof), challenges, highs and lows, etc. You name it. It is so interesting and refreshing to see these successful people reflect on their lives, careers, and decisions with such candour. It's hard to not take something away from it.

This, alongside The Tim Ferris Show, is how I got hooked on podcasts. It is a great podcast series that takes multiple renowned brand names, market leaders and pitches them against their biggest rivals. It takes us through their history of successes and failures and eventual triumph or struggle against their rival. They usually do a multiple episode series for every 'Business War' and take us through their whole history to the present situation in a very well-produced format. From McDonalds vs Burger King, Coca Cola vs Pepsi, DC vs Marvel to Redbull vs Monster and Netflix vs Blockbuster -- it has something for everyone. A must for all business enthusiasts.

Gary Vaynerchuck is a Belarusian-American entrepreneur, author, internet personality, and podcaster. In this popular podcast of his, Gary features keynotes speeches about business and entrepreneurship, interviews, casual chats, and his current thoughts. It is wildly insightful and extremely informative. Do give it a listen.

This is a podcast that helps you cover the basics. If you've been trying to launch a startup or have an idea that you want to pursue but are clueless about how you should pursue it or bring it to life -- listen to this podcast. It covers topics from how to make your product great, focus on how to build a great team, how to market it, etc. As I said, it helps you cover the basics and much more.

Another fantastic podcast. This podcast studies various successful billionaires and take away their principles and teachings and break it down for the listeners in order to guide them into making much more accurate and sensible decisions with their money and stocks.

Game of Thrones and Starbucks -- Great marketing?

Game of Thrones is arguably the biggest and most successful TV show in today's time. It's a global force and it has been for quite a few years now. Its characters are very well known and extremely popular. That popularity isn't strictly restricted to just the characters themselves, though. The actors that portray those main characters are equally popular -- Emilia Clarke(Daenerys Targaryen), Kit Harrington(Jon Snow), Peter Dinklage(Tyrion Lannister), Maisie Williams(Arya Stark), Sophie Turner(Sansa Stark), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau(Jaimie Lannister), Lena Headey(Cercei Lannister), among many others. They've all enjoyed immense fame over the past few years and amassed a fortune of money and fans, among the various other great tv/movie gigs that they've booked. As all Game of Thrones fans(and non-fans) are aware, we're on the last season of the show. The final season(8th) is already underway. We're four episodes down and there are just two more left. As you ca...
